I changed my brake pads. Should I have changed the sensor? How do I reset the warning light?

Providing your sensors are ok one on the left front and one on the right rear, then you turn the key to on position for 20-30 seconds and it will reset the light

Just like Auto Tech LTD said. I'd add only one thing. If the warning for the worn pads came on prior the repair that means the sensor is gone and you will need a new one.
The sensors are made of plastic and from heath they can be very fragile, they breaks often during removal or installation. I have seen aftermarket pads with the incorrect size of the cut-out for the sensors, so there is not enough room for it, and could be break easily when forced.
