Question: Brake pad metal sensor

Hi, I rencently purchased and installed new rotors and brake pads on the front axel wheels. Where does the metal sensor which are on two of the four pads go. The manual says it should be on the inboards pad does it have to be on the top or bottom end of the pad.

It will go on the inboard shoe. All I have ever seen are made to the pad so once you put the pad with the senson on the inboard side the sensor will be where it is. It really doesn't matter.
