Brake Lights Wiring on 1998 Mazda 626

My brake lights weren't working due to a loose wire. They fixed it and charged $80. Was this a fair price?

That's totally reasonable. It's about 1 hour labor time or less, depending on the shop rate. In my experience as a mechanic, I can tell you that the hard part, the part that requires the real expertise, is the detective work. That is, finding the fault. Fixing it is usually the easy part.
