Brake lights sticking on 2004 Lincoln Aviator

The brake lights stick on and run down the battery. Anyone have the fix?

I had the same problem. I replaced the Brake on/off switch (or brake position switch some call it ) and it fixed it. The switch costed $45 at Napa auto parts.

Your brake light switch may be out-of-adjustment or malfunctioning. Try disconnecting the brake switch at the pedal and see if the lights go off.

I will try that. Thanks! I have a feeling you are correct because if I pull back on the brake pedal, the light will go out.
