The brake lights have been staying on for about a week. I turn the care off and the lights stay on. I have to take the battery cable off, so they don't drain the battery. I have replaced the brake switch and the problem still remains. What can I do, since I am on a tight budget and have no money to spare?

MasterMake sure the return spring for the brake pedal is actually bringing the pedal all the way up. Then try adjusting the brake light switch so the lights go off.
