brake lights on 1997 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup

after replacing bulbs and fuses the brakelights still do not work

Check the switch, should be on the brake pedal arm. With a test light, you should be able to see of the switch has power or operates at all.

I don't see any switch on the break pedal just a shaft going through the fire wall..whatnext

did u replac the switch on the brahe pedal

had to have switch replaced at repair garage because it was behind dash and firewall. Works fine now.
