Question: Brake light goes on and off

 Rookie

The brake light on the dash will come on then go off while driving. When parked I put on the emergency brake and released several times to see if it was sticking, didn't make any difference.

  Check the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder of your 1999 Toyota Camry. Low brake fluid will cause the brake light to come on. If you find the level low be SURE to add only the correct type of brake fluid for your vehicle.
