If the brake fluid level is a "little" low causing the brake warning light to come on, this may be normal as fluid drops a little in the brake resivior as the brake pads wear. As the brake pads wear the pistons in the brake caliper move out towards the brake rotors and the fluid level drops a little. Have your brakes inspected for a hydraulic leak and brake material thickness.

First check the fluid level in the master cylinder to make sure it's above the minimum level and if that checks out its probably the master cylinder is beginning to fail about $43 to $124 at http://napaonline.com/default.aspx depending if you purchase a reman or new unit. Don't forget to bleed the system after installing this, probably better have a tech replace this part if you have not done one of these before.
