Question: brake issues or something else

Question

Visitor, 4.0L V6, Twinsburg, OH, June 21, 2011, 08:56

I just had the bearings and hubs replaced on my truck due to severe shimmying from the left wheel of the truck whenever I applied pressure to the brakes. Now I am being told I need brakes because the shaking when pressure is applied to the brakes is even more obvious than before. When driving at high speed and braking it shakes the entire car as if it is going to blow up. I was told I would need brakes, but maybe another 10,000 miles still left on these brakes. My question is; can this be correct or is something else going on with my truck? Thank you

You have warped rotors that should have been replaced the first time before the bearings and hubs were replaced and if the pads are that thin then replace also. Is hard to believe a qualified tech would have missed the ever popular brake shimmy from warped rotors when applying brakes at higher speeds. This is a no brainer.
