brake issue on 1998 Volvo V70 XC

I put new rear pads on the vehicle and ever since seems like the emergency brake is locked on. Can't seem to get it unlocked at rear.

The emergency brake is inside the rotor housing, so if you had the rotors off, the e-brake may need to be adjusted. If all you did was replace the pads, then it sounds like you installed the pads incorrectly, or one of the calipers is stuck, maybe from a frozen slider pin. Did you clean all the pins and apply new grease to them?
