there is a special tool available at most part stores. it fits on the face of the piston and connects to a 3/8" socket wrench [with extender]. You must rotate the piston back into the housing. Do not compress as with front calipers. I believe the rotation is counter clockwise, but would confirm with a mechanic or part store representative. Be sure to lubrice piston before recessing.
