Body Control Module on 1999 Chrysler Town & Country

It is apparent that my body control module is going bad. My mechanic confirmed this. He says that the replacement has to come from Chrysler and that they will program it specifically for my vehicle and current mileage. My question is... can I purchase a used one and have it programmed?

I do not work on many Chryslers but frequently read about them having BCM problems, your mechanic is right about the BCM needing to be programmed. A second hand one from a similar year may not be reliable long term, one would hope a new module has been redesigned and improved for durability. Perhaps try calling Fuel injection corporation and see if they rebuild these modules or could recommend someone who could I have always found these people helpful and have got great work from them. 925-371-6551
