The air bags mounted in the sides of the front seats may not deploy when needed in an accident due to a failure of the igniters within the air bag assemblies. This would increase risk of occupant injury in a crash.

Recall repairs on your BMW or Mini vehicle must be performed by a BMW or Mini dealership, respectively. BMW and Mini will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2017.
