Great service, fair price.

I HAD 2 BMW'S. A 2006 - 325I AND A 2008 528I. I RECENTLY GAVE THE 528I BACK, BUT THE 325I WAS ALREADY PAID 4 SO I KEPT IT. I BOUGHT BOTH AT ADVANTAGE BMW CLEAR LAKE & HAD THEM SERVICED THERE UNTIL I MOVED 2 NORTH HOUSTON (SPRING) 3 YEARS AGO. THEN BEGAN 2 HAVE MY CARS SERVICED AT BMW HOUSTON NORTH.

2 START, I HAVE SPOKEN 2 THE SERVICE MANAGERS BOTH PREVIOUS & CURRENT. BOTH PROMISED THAT THE ISSUES WITH MY CARS WOULD BE RESOLVED...THEY NEVER WERE. SO I DID MY FAIR SHARE IN TRYING 2 ALLOW THEM OPPORTUNITY 2 FIX THE CAR OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS & 2 RECTIFY THE SERIOUS ISSUE CAUSED BY THEIR FAILURE 2 PROPERLY DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR ISSUES WITH MY CARS.

ALSO, I WAS VERY HAPPY W ADVANTAGE BMW IN CLEAR LAKE. I NEVER ONCE HAD A NEGATIVE ISSUE W THEIR SALES OR SERVICE PERFORMANCES.

THIS IS DIRECTED ONLY 2 ANYONE PERSUING A CAR OR SERVICE AT BMW NORTH HOUSTON ON 1960 & I 45.

FYI, MY CARS HAD A 100K WARRANTY THAT I PAID $3200 EXTRA 4 THE PARTS & ALSO SERVICE PLAN. THIS CAR WAS SUPPOSED 2 BE COVERED FROM HEAD 2 TOE BY THESE 2 PLANS. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED W BMW HOUSTON NORTH. NOW MY WARRANTIES ARE EXPIRED AND I AM STILL STUCK WITH THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS THAT WERE NEVER FIXED. REMEMBER BMW'S CLAIM ABOUT THEI WARRANTY $0 OUT OF POCKET FOR THE LIFE OF THE WARRANTY. (NORMALLY 5 YR 50000...BUT I PAID EXTRA 4 THE 10 YR 100000 COVERAGE).

AFTER COMPLAINING NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT EACH 1) MY REAR WINDOW SHADE MALFUNCTIONING, 2) MY SUN ROOF NOT CLOSING PROPERLY & REPEATEDLY, 3) DOOR PANELS REPEATEDLY POPPING OFF, & 4)MY CAR BATTERY DYING & WEIRD CAUTION & SERVICE LIGHTS APPEARING IN MY DASH REPEATEDLY...IT TOOK 2 1/2 YEARS OF ME REPEATITIVELY TAKING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE 4 BMW 2 REPLACE THE WINDOW SHADE. AFTER 2 1/2 YRS, THEY STILL HAVE NEVER FIXED THE ISSUES W THE SUNROOF NOT CLOSING. I OFTEN AM FORCED TO MANUALLY CLOSE THE SUN ROOF. THE DOOR PANELS STILL POP OFF NEARLY EVERY DAY & I AM FORCED 2 POP THEM BACK ON.

THERE HAVE BEEN A VARIETY OF SMALLER ISSUES THROUGHOUT THE 3 YEARS UP HERE W BMW HOUSTON NORTH. MOST HAVE BEEN FIXED EVENTUALLY, AFTER 2-3 VISITS 2 THE DEALERSHIP SHOP. THESE ISSUES RANGE FROM BLOWN TRANSMISSION, BAD PULLIES IN THE ENGINE, BAD DISTRIBTOR, BAD PLUGS AND WIRES, ETC (ALL COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY).

I EVEN WENT IN FOR MY 100K MILE TUNE UP & SERVICING. THIS IS SUPPOSED 2 INCLUDE ALL NEW FLUIDS, NEW BRAKES, NEW WINSHIELD WIPER BLADES, COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC, AND REPAIRS OF ANYTHING OBVIOUS. THE CAR WENT IN WITH A SQUEAL WICH WAS NEVER FIXED FROM THE PREVIOUS TIME. IT AGAIN WAS NOT FIXED. SO I HAD TO LEAVE IT WITH THEM AGAIN. 4 MORE DAYS PAST BEFORE I WAS ABLE 2 PICK IT UP. THE REPAIR WOULD HAVE COST ME $400 IF I HAD NOT INSISTED ON IT BEING FIXED THEN. SO I DROVE AWAY AFTERWARDS.AS SOON AS I DROVE AWAY MY BRAKE FLUID & COOLANT FLUID SENSORS TOLD ME MY LEVELS WERE LOW...SO I HAD 2 GO 2 WALMART & BUY FLUIDS 2 PUT IN2 THE CAR BECAUSE NOT EVEN THAT WAS DONE PROPERLY. THEN I OPENED MY SUNROOF & TESTED IT...IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. MY DOOR PANELS & LIGHT STILL NOT FIXED, ETC.

THE GREATEST PROBLEM STILL HAS NEVER PROPERLY BEEN FIXED & I AM STILL FACED WITH 2 THIS DAY (AND NOW MY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED). THIS ISSUE IS THAT OF THE KEY LOCK MECHANISM.

I WANT 2 CLEAR SOMETHING UP RIGHT AWAY SO THAT BMW CANNOT ISSUE A REBUTTLE WITH THIS CLAIM. THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED COMFORT ACCES ENTRY. THIS IS WHERE THE CAR IS ABLE TO BE STARTED WITHOUT PLACING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AS LONG AS THE KEY IS WITH IN A CERTAIN PROXIMITY OF THE VEHICLE.

MY 325 DID NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE. MY KEY WAS REQUIRED TO BE IN THE IGNITION IN ORDER TO RUN. HOWEVER, THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE KEY LOCK MECHANISM WHICH ALLOWED THE CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO SOMETIMES REMAIN ON WITHOUT THE DRIVER BEING AWARE (SINCE EVERYTHING IS SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN UPON REMOVING THE KEY FROM THE VEHICLE). THUS THE BATTERY WAS WITHOUT THE DRIVER BEING AWARE, BEING DRAINED AND CAUSING NUMEROUS SYSTEM FAILURES SUCH AS POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, TRACTION CONTROL ETC.

I TOOK THE CAR IN WITH THESE REPORTED PROBLEMS NUMEROUS TIMES...BMW TOLD ME IT WAS JUST MY BATTERY AND I NEEDED A NEW ONE. THE ISSUES PERSISTED. FINALLY, THE ISSUES LED TO A DISASTER. I WENT TO MY CAR AFTER PLAYING A ROUND OF GOLF LASTING 5 HOURS OR SO. I USED MY KEY TO OPEN THE WINDOWS AS I APPROACHED...THE WINDOWS STARTED TO ROLL DOWN...THEN STOPPED. THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I CALLED BMW AND BMW ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. I WAS TOLD THE CAR WOULD BE PICKED UP AND DELIVERED TO BMW NORTH. THE CAR WAS NEVER PICKED UP. A MESSAGE WAS LEFT ON MY PHONE AT 9:30 AT NIGHT (I RECEIVED THE CELL PHONE MESSAGE THE NEXT MORNING) TELLING ME THAT THEY DECIDED NOT TO PICK IT UP.

WHEN I ARRIVED EARLY THE NEXT MORNING, THE CAR WAS VANDALIZED AND BURGLARIZED. VERY EXPENSIVE PRADA AND DG GLASSES, COLOGNES, ETC WERE STOLEN INCLUDING A HUBLOT WATCH (IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT A HUBLOT IS...THE PRICES FOR THEM START AT AROUND $7500.00 - THIS ONE WAS MORE). THE TOTAL LOSSES BETWEEN THE DENTS, PAINT, BROKEN GLASS ABD INTERIOR ETC, PLUS THE LOSSES OF THE STOLEN MERCHANDISE TOTALLED @ $20K AFTER ALL WAS SAID AND DONE.

I HAD JUMPSTARTED THE CAR AND TOOK IT TO BMW HOUSTON NORTH...WHERE THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY...CHARGED ME $400 AND TOLD ME THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE BATTERY. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR AFTER "REPAIRS" AS I WAS DRIVING OFF THE SAME THINGS STARTED TO HAPPEN AGAIN WITH THE NEW BATTERY, SO I PULLED THE KEY OUT AND WENT TO TELL THE SERVICE ADVISOR. THE CARS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM REMAINED ON AND I SUDDENLY BECAME AWARE OF IT BECAUSE THE CAR WAS RUNNING AS WELL. I SHOWED THE TECH AND SERVICE ADVISOR..THEY SAID THAT THE KEY LOCK MECHANISM WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THIS WAS THE CAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS FOR MONTHS BACK. I HAD PAID A NUMBER OF DEDUCTIBLES AND HAD PAID FOR A BATTERY AND JUST SUFFERED A HUGE LOSS WITH THE VANDALISM AND BURGLARY OF THE 325.

BMW ADMITTED FAULT IN NOT DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM AND NOT APPROPRIATELY FIXING THE PROBLEMS. THEY CREDITED ME MY MONEY FOR THE BATTERY AND ASSURED ME THEY WOULD DO WHAT THEY COULD DO HELP ME RECOVER MY LOSSES. THEY WERE SUPER NICE ABOUT IT!!!!

HERE IS THE PROBLEM. BMW IS COMPARTMENTALIZED. THE DEALERSHIP DIDNT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LOSSES BECAUSE BMW ROADSIDE DIDNT PICK UP THE CAR. BMW CORPORATE DIDNT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE BMW DEALERSHIP AND ROADSIDE DIDNT DO THEIR JOBS. ROADSIDE DIDNT WANT TO COVER THE LOSS BECAUSE BMW DEALERSHIP DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM. MY INSURANCE WOULDNT COVER IT BECAUSE THE WINDOWS WERE DOWN...ALTHOUGH THEY COULDNT BE ROLLED UP BECAUSE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD.

SO I LOST $20K IN MERCHANDISE & DAMAGES. BMW ADMITTED FAULT BUT WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

LAWSUIT?? IT WOULD LAST FOREVER & I AM DISABLED AND CANNOT SIT THROUGH COURT AND MEDIATION ETC...

BOTTOM LINE, BMW HOUSTON NORTH 1) NEVER FIXED THE CAR WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY...2) THEY CHARGED ME 4 DEDUCTIBLES 4 MULTIPLE VISITS BECAUSE OF THEIR FAILURE 2 FIX THE ISSUES 3) THEY CAUSED A HUGE LOSS & WOULD NOT COVER ANY PART OF IT 4) I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH MY SUNROOF, MY DOOR PANELS, MY KEY LOCK MECHANISM; & NOW MY WARRANTY THAT I PAID $3200 FOR HAS EXPIRED.

I HAVE SINCE REFUSED 2 PAY FOR THE 528 & HAVE RETURNED IT 2 BMW. I WILL NOW USE ANOTHER DEALERSHIP 50 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE, SO THAT MY 328 IS PROPERLY FIXED (WHEN I FEEL I HAVE MONEY 2 REPAIR THIS MONEY PIT THAT WAS NEVER PROPERLY FIXED)

BMW HOUSTON NORTH SUCKS!!!! BUT THEY ARE NICE PPL.
