1998 BMW 328is Question: BMW 328is misfire#6

, Carson City, NV, April 29, 2010, 00:53

My 1998 328is has a occasional misfire at cylinder #6. It comes and goes whenever. There is no set time when this happens. I replaced the plugs and coil pack. Could i have a computer problem? Maybe faulty wiring at the injector or coil pack?

Unfortunately the answer is yes. All the possibilities you list could cause the misfire at number 6. If it is a computer problem I have got FUEL INJECTION CORPORATION

to test the ECU, good people quick turn around just send them the computer. Check the wiring in case a rodent has damaged the wiring and check for wiring issues.
