Utterly fantastic car to own and drive. Only real complaint is the interior trim surrounding the door. Fail every two years and are very expensive to replace.

My 2001 325ci w/135,000 miles rattles at low rpms. When idling, it rattles at around 1100 rpm. The noise definitely comes from under the hood, but it's hard to pinpoint.Is this common? Is it serious?

Code po444 evap emission sys purge control valve circuit open.
The light resets sporadically and with a code and without the code. Other times it will wait for the next key turn. The technician looked for the controlling mechanism in the wheel well of the spare tire, but nothing was there. The hole which allows the wiring to pass has a rubber plug. He had not seen this before.

When the car starts, there is no noise but after a few seconds of driving the whistling begins. Stops when we brake and as soon as the brake is released, it starts again. When we stop and turn off the car, there is a slow release and whistling sound for a few seconds.

BMW325ci . Felt a clunk type feeling while at a red light. Then when I accelerated, there was no very little power, like it was in the wrong gear. When the top is up on my 2004 325ci, the convertible top cover shock (maybe it's a strut, not sure) is pressing down into the soft plastic on the package tray (convertible compartment lid) and leaving an indentation. Any ideas on how to fix this? The shock is also leaking fluid.
