the blue smoke on startup sounds like worn out valve guide seals or worn valve gudes. I don't know about a coolant smell in the oil, if the oil is clean and clear there's no coolant in it. Coolant in the oil looks like a chocolate milkshake, very easy to see. Here's a directory link for you:
