What is a reasonable price one should expect to pay for a blown head gasket with heads needed machined.

Please included parts and labor.

    Helen, you can get a free estimate for the head gasket replacement here: http://repairpal.com/estimator?car_type_id=6178 it doesn't include the machine work, but that will probably run around $75 - $100. This is the first blown head gasket I've heard of on this vehicle. How many miles do you have on your HHR?

    i just wanted to let you know i have a 2006 chevy hhr and i only have 75k miles on it and it is being repaired for a blown head gasket i also found out alot of people are having the same problems as me. we also found out alot of people are having problems with key not coming out ignition because of the shifter the button gets stuck.

    I have a 2008 Chevy HHR. I blew a head gasket and there is other things that are wrong with it. I was given a quote of $7000 to get it fixed. I still have the car but I am still paying for it too.
    What is the average cost for this kind of mechanic work.
