Blown Head Gasket on 2001 Volkswagen Passat

I've got white smoke comming up from under the plastic water container (radiator overflow). Just inside the driver side fire wall. I had valve cover gaskets replaced just 3 months ago. Brown greasy water in reservoir. Head gasket blown?
