Question: Blown head gasket @75,000 miles on wheelchair accessible van

We've been told we have a blown head gasket which was caused by a leaking water pump which also damaged the radiator. Would this be true? How much to repair water pump, head gasket, check cylinders for warpage, a new radiator. This is what the mechanic told us needed to be repaired.

    head gaskets, you do both not one,
    parts 140 includes head bolts
    labor is 15 hours
    water pump 59
    labor is 1.8 hours
    radiator is 295
    labor is 2 hours
    fluids including oil, filter, coolant, thermostat, belts and extras 50

    you can see it is not cheap for this repair. hope the heads are not cracked. if they are it will be an additional 500 for the heads.

    best thang to do is replace engine with new or use one
