1996 Pontiac Grand Prix Q&A
1996 Pontiac Grand Prix Question: blower motor fan not working on high
my blower motor fan is only working on the first three speeds, not on high, and my hot and cold is working but not my air conditioning on the first three speeds. i have two questions, the first is my problem the switch or the resistor and the estimate to repair it. the second question is if the blower motor itself could cause this problem if replaced with a defective motor or replaced incorrectly? thank you. - HALFTIME
This sounds like it could be the switch, because in high mode, the switch bypasses the resistor block and puts full power right to the motor. If the blower motor works, then it is good to go and you said that it works fine on the lower speeds. - dandd
why does my blower motor resistor keep going out? I replace it and in a few days of running the fan, it goes out again. I then replace it again etc...
Blower motor "works" on 1-2-3-4- but not 5 high speed
