the fan sometimes on, sometimes off,and now it's dead not on at all. Is it the only possibility that blower final stage resistor need to be replaced? or there's other possibility like fan motor?
When the car is turned off the floor vents blow hot air including my arm rest vent. I get no light on any of my ac buttons. I thought it would be fuse 9 or 20 but they look fine. I take 9 out and the blower stops of coarse. The only think I can think of is the big porcupine looking fuse on the passenger side under the vent on the floor. Is it an FSU problem?
Buy the part from Rock Auto (<$40) and go on line and replace it. It takes less than 5 minutes. The repair location is under the passsenger side, unclip and remove and replace. Works like a charm, BMW wanted $200+ to replace.
*I coun'nt figure out why cars battery kept on dying and fans blower would come on and not shut off when you needed it to until I replaced the blower final stage unit, all is back to normal, Thank God..........
It randomly started. Would turn the car off, the blower would stay on and eventually run the battery down. I haven't had it fixed yet, but in the meantime every time I park I have to get into the trunk and unhook the battery cable so it doesn't run down the battery.
Not fixed yet, fan blows cold on face only when heater on, but will be hot at feet or defrost. Defrost will stay on or turn on after engine shut off.
