Bleeding the coolant system on 2000 Cadillac DeVille

I recently asked a question about how to check the ECT sensor, and the car had no codes. My next question is how you bleed the coolant system on a 2000 Deville

There is no special bleed procedure for your 2000 Cadillac DeVille that I know of. If the thermostat does not open to allow proper coolant flow after filling the cooling system via the coolant recovery bottle I would suggest that you turn the engine off and let it cool down for about 30 minutes and recheck the coolant level. You can then run the engine again. You will know the thermostat is open when the cooling fans come on and you can feel them exhausting warm air. With the engine running and the thermostat open - top off the coolant level in the recovery bottle.

If the fans don't stop running, what do you think the problem is?
