Question: Belt replacement

 Rookie

Our belt has to be replaced that goes around the altenator. My husband seems to think that you have to take off the air compressor to replace he belt. That doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone help with this quetion???

  I looked up your belt replacement and the complete guide to replacing this is available at www.autozone.com sign up its free then put in your vehicles info 1998 Chrysler Sebring 2.5 V-6 and click on repair guides, Then put belt in the upper search box and the instruction will show, then scroll down about halfway to the 2.5 motor. Hope this helps
