You could have a vacuum leak. Cold engines need more fuel to start so anything that makes it run lean can cause this problem.

Floating feeling can be caused by worn out shocks/ struts. Bounce the car at every corner, get it really bouncing and then start counting after you let it go. It should be completly motionless after 2 seconds if the struts are good.

The timing belt is made of rubber. Think about old tires, you know how the get "dry rotted" from age? Timing belts do the same thing. The good thing is that on a Lexus if the belt breaks, it doesn't bend valves so the worst thing is you get towed in.

Most shops charge one hour of labor to diagnose drivebility issues. Even though the light isn't on, there may be misfire info stored in the computer. We usually recommend replacing all coils if it has more than 100,000 miles on it. Use only Motorcraft coils. The other brands, especially the chinese coils are junk.
