my batt light battery stays on

    Check the battery connections and make they are clean and tight. With a multi meter check the voltage with the vehicle idling. Should be over 13 volts. If not then your alternator is most likely bad.

    Ive changed the cables put new battery in also i checked the alternator at autozone they say its good. My car still wont start without a jump

    How did Autozone test it? You want to see the standing voltage on the battery (12.2v), the voltage on the battery when your car is idling (13.8v) and the voltage when you try to crank the engine (over 10.5v.)
