Question: battery is dead.when attempted jump, horn beeps and car will not turn over???

Battery is 3 month old and car has not been started in a long while. whenattempted a jump, the horn beeps and car will not turn over...is this a security issue??

    Bring the battery back to where you purchased it as it sounds like a dead battery and it should be under warrenty

    AAA put a new battery in to try and same results...car cranked, horn beeped but would not turn over

    It does sound like an anti-theft security issue to me. Do the lights flash along with the horn beeping? Maybe the battery is dead in the key fob (if you have one), possibly a blown fuse in the drivers side fuse box, labeled ECU-1G2 (10amp)or another electrical issue with the anti-theft system.

    Might this also be true for a 1997 corolla? we're having exact same problem. we got a new battery and had the starter rebuilt.
