Spare key has been rarely used for years and will not operate locks remotely. Will it recharge with frequent use? how long will it take? OR is it replaceable?

The diamond shape keys are non battery serviceable. The key is charged when the key is inserted into the barrel and ignition switched on, so basically drive with the spare to charge, around few hours of accumulated drives to charge battery.

The remote will lose memory and will need to be re-initialized if the battery is flat

Close all doors, switch on "acc"/R for less than 5 seconds, remove key, hold unlock while pressing lock 3 times. If this fails try the steps again but hold lock and press unlock 3 times.
