Where does the negative lead connect to ground? My contour is running with the minus connection hanging loose. The battery connection is fine. The grounding lug is not attached to the body or the engine. I have a zetec 2.0L, 4 cyl, auto. I would like to reattach the ground but do not know where to make the proper connection.

It's hard to say without seeing this, but the negative cable will attach to the battery, then to the body and possibly the engine or transmission housing. Is the loose connection broken? Or is the terminal in tact but disconnected?
I just replaced the battery so I am wondering what the problem could be.
I was driving one day and I put my car in reverse while it was moving forward a bit. It shut off. We moved it backwards then forwards and it came on. Now It happened again and it didnt come back...
Battery was just replaces. When trying to start the engine nothing happens, key won't turn on.
I replaced my oil pan, and now my car won't start. It makes a sort of "click" noise, but that's all it will do.
I would like to know how and the location of the starter. Help Please
