 Rookie

i replaced my battery in april 2007&was just told i need another new battery, that battery only lasted 2years,it was a bmw battery it would charge but the top of the battery said insufficent charge does that mean i have open circut or short

  Junk battery, get a Interstate battery.

  does the car sit unused alot? batteries die quickly on cars that are not used often. if so, buy a battery maintainer for down time. going dead also will shorten a battery life dramaticly.
