Question: bas esp abs light on

 Rookie

my esp bas abs light came on after a battery replacement.how can i get these lights to reset and go off

    You need to have a Mercedes scan tool do this. Who did the battery replacement? This should not have happened with a proper battery replacement.

    My issue was caused by the brake light switch, located under the sterring shaft inside the dash. i purchased the part from Mercedes for 30 bucks and installed it less than 40 minutes. To test this. turn you car off to reset the ABS light. apply the parking brake. and start the car in neutral or park without using the brake. if the problem is the brake light switch... the light will only come on when you press the brake pedal.
