I've been servicing with Balize Mazda for over 3 years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff treats customers well, shuttle service is reliable and vehicle always ready when promised. I have used some other Mazda dealerships in the region and none are as pleasant and consistent in service.

This review needs to be split into two parts, after a preface.
First: The Miata is a wonderful car, certainly the most fun I've had since my Honda CRX. I am careful about money, and about what I drive. This car is a wonder. It deserves all the 5 star ratings and rave videos. I wanted a convertible I could drive constantly, without worries. I also wanted a roadster, since I usually drive 30k+ a year and wanted to enjoy it. Now the driving experience is a daily delight. (First six months, 34,000 miles of smiles! Honest.) Further, the Miata's reliability is superb. Consumer Reports likes it. I wish I'd bought this car years ago! Five stars!

1) The sales department is a classic car sales experience. There is nothing to recommend them. The salesman was cheerful and cooperative, but he couldn't do anything without the approval of the sales manager. He didn't listen well or think about what I told him. Unfortunately, the sales manager was hard-nosed and pushy. I wanted the car, and he knew it. I resent being bullied, and I felt bullied. The hard-sell during closing was particularly galling, classic car salesmanship of the worst kind. No star.

2) On the other hand, the service department is first rate! It's too bad the service department is associated with this sales department. The two service reps are congenial, good listeners, and responsible about time estimates. They have been very good about keeping me happy with my car. The whole department has taken very good care of everything I've needed. They successfully eliminated an irregular squeak in the dash, and quickly replaced a sluggish seatbelt retractor. I think my Miata is in capable hands, and I feel like I've been well treated. Five stars!

Finally, my considered conclusion: Don't buy your car here, but get it serviced here. Good luck!

I brought my Mazda in for an oil change and tire rotation. I have never used a dealership for anything but warranty work because of the prices. My regular place couldn't get me in so I decided to try the dealer. Turns out I was completely wrong about the prices They only charged me $20 for the oil change and $10 for the tire rotation. That's less than the place I had been going to for Year's. They got me in without an appointment and got me going in about 45 minutes. They deff changed my opinion of dealership prices. I will be coming back for all my services. Thanks Balise
