Check Engine Light and Engine Misfire on Mercedes-Benz C230

Failed spark plug wires and/or ignition coils can cause intermittent misfires (rough running); the Check Engine Light may also illuminate. Diagnoses of the ignition system will be necessary to determine which components are at fault.

Visitor, 2006 Mercedes-Benz C230, 115,000 mi Check engine light started blinking and car began to shake. Has difficulty in accelerating. When ran an engine diagnostic received multiple and several codes indicating misfires, camshaft position, timing errors, ect. Feels as if it needs a tune-up but it came on so randomly. Don't know what it can be and how to fix but afraid that its going to be very costly.
changed spark plugs and wires still experiencing misfires and loss of power. no solution yet.
replacement ignition coil keeps failing. car good for a few days, problem starts again, car runs rough, then dies
