Engine & car suddenly started shaking at low RPMs while city driving. I just got the spark plugs replaced, so it leads me to believe one of them might have failed. My questions are:

1) Does anyone have a different diagnosis?

2) Is there a way to find out which plug is bad without buying expensive tools?

Your check engine light has to be illuminated. If it is related to a spark plug you would turn on the MIL(malfunctiong indicator light) do to a misfire/misfires. Is your MIL light on?

this type of car is known for some ignition coil issues. your car will be covered by a recall for them any day now. they are soooo fragile that spark plug replacement sometimes damages them (no fault of mechanic). get the cat checked too! make sure it passes a "readiness" test
