Just recently rolled back window down and now it will not roll back up .... I hear the motor going up and down as I press the button, but no window comes up. What is my problem and what guesstimate for repair can you provide me?

Jason is correct.
Don't need to buy the motor, the regulator is a separate part, a new one cost about $ 150 and takes about 2.5 hours to replace it. Around $350 repair, depends on the shop's labor rate.

It sounds like you have a broken window regulator. Mercedes uses plastic guides and clips to hold the window regulator wire in place, or " on trac". very common faulty part. You may have to replace the regulator and motor as an assembly. Use the estimator for your area on this site to find an estimate.
Yo, Thanks Jason .... How do I know If I need a motor for the window? It sounds like it does work, but just not hooked up to regulator, you know?
