Question: back up light not working....?

I have a 1997 camry le 2.2 engine. the back up light not working...even checked fuse and bulb are fine. what would be the problem...? back up neutral light switch...? or other...? and where should I start looking at...????

    The neutral safety switch on the transmission could have failed or there could be a connector or wiring problem. The switch is located on the left side of the transaxle. Get in it with your meter or testlight and see if it has power and it's working.
