Speedo just went out and the abs light is on now

    I'd say that you have a problem with an ABS sensor, probably at the rear axle on top of the differential area. It could be contaminated with metal debris or not set into the diff at the right clearance. Also possible that it's gone faulty on you. You can check resistance, should be about 800 Ohms to 2000 Ohms, depending on the system.
