Question: Avalon - 2004 - drivers side window problem. Window will not go up or down.

 Rookie

All other windows work. Hear a noise when the button is pressed to work the window but it will not go up or down. Door locks okay.

    replace the regulator and motor assembly. the cables are most likely broken.

    Is that an expensive job? Is it complicated? Can we do it without taking it to a garage?

    the assembly is about 129

    labor is 1.5 hours.
    i dont recommend you try it unless you have experience in removing door panels and removing windows.
