Autotrend was founded in Campbell in 1989 by Dave Kusa, and he is still the driving force behind this well established shop. I basically just found them on the internet site. They had a five star rating already and so I went there. They were able to get me in immediately that morning. I hit my cell phone and they happened to be close to the hospital. I was getting out of work with a dead battery and so I got my car jumped and got it over there. They got me in immediately and took care of the problem very quickly. They were fast and friendly.

He was very formidable and very honest. They were an excellent shop. I would recommend different people to them and I would go back to them because they're very honest. They were not able to find the problem. They narrowed it down to what it was. It is a very tricky diagnosis. They narrowed it down to a break in the harness cable. What happened is all the gauges in my dashboard were not working. The harness cable was the likely suspect. They were able to fix it for an estimated $2,500 to $3,000 which I wasn't going to pay. That was just their best guestimate. It could have been nothing, or it could have been the extreme. We don't even know if the harness was available, but it was a very honest appraisal.

I would say that expensive repair is always great but cheap repair is always expensive in the long run, so it might be a little pricier, but it is definitely worth the buy. I would definitely say that Dave is always been great with his service I have been going to him since high school and he has done a fantastic job on all my repairs. I put a brand new engine with him and it runs fantastic. He's definately always very friendly. He lets you know what's really wrong and will tell you what's the worst on your car. So he's a very honest guy. He's always helped me out. He's great! It's a great shop!

They kept working at trying to get it right, so I was impressed with that.They replaced it twice to get it right, without charge to me. They honored their warranty. They had to replace my clutch, it kept going out. So they replaced it and then they replaced it again, and then it failed the very next day and they replaced it again. It's not their fault. They kept replacing it but the part kept failing. It's probably more of a manufacturing problem. They kept working to find what was wrong. The part they got from the manufacturer failed, so they went through a different manufacturer to get the part. They really did try to fix it though. I appreciate their efforts!

I would just say that I would highly recommend the shop. They had prompt service and a fair pricing. I took my truck in to get some service. I thought it was going to cost quite a bit. It ended up being almost a quarter of what I thought it would be. David at AutoTrend is fair. When something is broken he fixes it. He doesn't try and sell. He's a good guy. He's a good mechanic- a good, fair businessman.

He is somebody I can always trust. He's honest. He's straightforward. He doesn't surprise you at all. If there's something else that needs to be done he'll call and ask before he does it. His repairs are always right on in terms of what the cost estimates are. If there's any deviation he'll call first before doing that additional repair. He's very professional, very courteous, easy to work with and I would highly recommend him to anybody.
