I own a repair shop in another state and my daughter works at the hospital near here. She had a noise in her Jeep. I called and spoke with Kenny the owner and could tell by the conversation he would do a good job. She took it in, they gave her a loaner car, and had it fiished the following day. Good service and a fair price. I have told my daughter to go there for any needs she has. I trust them.
The owner was nice, I will say that I had a problem with my car. Needed to find the problem and had to pay a diagnosis fee. No problem with that. I was told there was an issue with the manifold and they suggested a few other things. I told them I could afford the maniford but not the other things at this time. I felt the owner got kinda pushy about having the other stuff done. I just didn't have the money and I certainly don't like to be pushed. He made me feel like I was a jerk. I won't go back there. They did give me a free loaner.
Based on the first comment posted, I took my son's Subaru Outback in to have an oil leak checked. As it turned out, there was a serious leak in the rear main seal (a steady drip) and a smaller leak around the timing belt cover caused. Obviously, both leaks were of a serious nature and either could have led to engine failure and being stranded. I thought that Randy, with whom I dealt, was honest with me and that the pricing was fair. (I corroborated what I being told here with my dealer in SC and found that Randy was correct and that what he had told me about the car needed to be done.) I was pleased with every aspect of dealing with them and we believe that the quality of the work was high. Obviously, leaks of this kind are expensive repairs so please know that if there are any problems that develop, I will post them here. After cleaning all the caked up oil off the engine, they discovered a crack in a plastic plate that seals the transmition. Subaru has apparently upgraded this part with a metal one, and A.C. replaced this as well. The final bill came in about $225 less than the estimate and the estimate was less than a local dealer. We plan on using Automotive Connection again for the regular maintenance of this '98 Sub.
Best Car Repair Expierence
Wow ! I am glad I found this place. My car is my lifeline for getting the kids to school and myself to work. When it was not running smoothly I went to Automotive Connection. They were upfront with me and said it would be the next day before they could look at it, but gave me a free loaner car to use. The next day Randy called me with an update, a $300 part was needed, but they could also get a rebuilt version for $190. He said he would trust the rebuilt on his car, so I went with it. All is well and they even vaccumed my car. Best of all, the final bill was $28.00 LESS than quoted. Nice clean shop that is honest and looks out for me. I have since refered my sister who also had a good expierence.
