Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) is a not-for-profit trade association for the automotive aftermarket that represents suppliers, distributors, retailers, service providers, educators, and publishers. Its 23,000 members manufacture, distribute, sell, and install vehicle parts, tools, accessories, equipment, materials, supplies, and services. AAIA was founded in 1999.

Why We Think AAIA Membership Is Important

Quality aftermarket parts can be a less expensive alternative to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer/Factory) parts. The AAIA promotes and supports all those involved in supplying and installing quality aftermarket parts. The cost savings associated with using quality aftermarket parts are commonly passed on directly to the customer.

Benefits to the consumer

  • AAIA is committed to consumer education; the organization spearheads the "Be Car Care Aware" campaign and advocates for the Motor Vehicle Owner's Right to Repair Act
