Question: Automatic Climate Control

I just got 99 C280 Sport Package (W202), I have a problem with my Automatic Climate Control, does it has a bulb light? when i turn the lights ON, the device is still dark, do I have to change the device or just replace the bulb?

    Replace the bulb to solve this problem. Requires removing the control unit with DIN puller tool, and only Mercedes has the light bulb. If you don't mind a slightly dim display, any 1.5 watt instrument cluster bulb will plug into the socket, but the bright bulb is M-B dealer only. They burn out regularly, probably too high wattage for the application.
