Paul, David and the mechanics at the shop are great at diagnostics and repair.
I was disappointed because the hood latch which was replaced had not been adjusted properly and the hood released while driving. The safety feature on the hood prevented it from flying up but we were forced to lose a lot of traveling time to have someone check it out. We were a couple of hundred miles from Auto Xtreme.
I was referred to Auto Xtreme by a friend of mine who highly recommended them for service on German autos. I made an appointment with Paul for an oil change and filter and also mentioned about a problem I thought I was having with my A/C. Paul advised me at the appointment that I needed to have other work done that was also critical to the performance and safety of my Mercedes. All of the necessary work was performed in a timely and professional manner, Paul called me when the car was ready and I took it home. The next day I turned the A/C on the car and the same noise came back. I called and spoke to Paul and he told me to bring it back to the shop as they stand by their work and customer satisfaction. Long story short........The A/C part that was replaced as defective was not the problem. The excessive noise I was hearing is typical of Mercedes fan motors.
A few items I was not aware of required attention and were repaired.

I think they are liars and caused damage to my car.
Your wife called to say that you just returned to Peoria from Texas and that you thought the shop that you had it at in Texas "broke your car". We removed the backseat of your car to see what was going on with the fuel tank/pump. We found that the locking collar on the fuel tank had completely broke off. Without doing anything further, we brought your wife back into the shop immediately so that she could see the break and that this is the way the car was brought in to us. We have picture and video documentation of the entire exchange. We put the back seat back in your car and you had it towed out. Always holding ourselves to the highest of standards with regards to customer service and auto repair, we did not lie to you and your vehicle came into the shop already damaged.
These guys know their stuff. I worked with Paul and Dan they are so knowledgeable on my Mercedes. I would recommend them as a German Car Specialist at reasonable prices!

Excellent service and quality of work.
They fixed a convertible top on my Mercedes, claimed it may or may not leak in the future since they only replaced a few of the parts to the system. Claimed it worked and when I drove it off the lot it only worked once and now doesn't move again. Their mechanics managed to tear a huge slash in one of my seats too which I had to get reupholstered.
You were told that the hydraulic top system for your sons older Mercedes had several rams and that when 1 is replaced it will put pressure on the other older parts and it may cause more issues in the system. The top was functioning properly when it left the shop and you said it also worked for you as well. Unfortunately the predicted problem occurred quickly. We offered your son the opportunity to fix the other parts at our cost with no labor as soon as he had the money to do so. We wanted to do this for him because we knew your son worked so hard to get the money to do the repairs and was paying for all of them himself.
With regards to the seat, your leather was worn. Our tech sat on the seat and the leather ripped. This could have happened with anyone that sat in the vehicle eventually, but we felt we should take care of it for you. We made good on this by taking the cost to repair the tear off of your repair order.
We always do the right thing by our customers and feel we went above and beyond for you and your son.
