There are two types of automatic transmissions in this car it is important the transmission oil that meets VW specification is used (VW issued a service bulletin). There should be an independent VW specialist repair shop in your area or a shop that specializes in Germany auto repairs.
Changing the oil and transmission filter should take no more than 1 to 1.3 hours.

no you have to go to the transmission place to get it fixed because whatever they do they go underneth the car to change it but let me tell you its worth it because when they need that service done they need it bad the wont catch the gears and stuff but when you get it done you get a good working transmission so get it done asap.
