  I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about; it sounds like sour grapes (i.e., you actually want me to pay for the service you provided??).

  The 'on-site attack dog' is a half-blind german shepherd that barks (and is behind a counter) and the staff has never, ever been rude or intimidating.

  If the reviewer was too stupid to ask how much a service cost, then they probably shouldn't be allowed an internet account to leave crap reviews.

  In any cased, great shop, great people. Check out their BBB ratings and Yelp/Yahoo reviews and ignore the jerk who left an insulting rating.

  Times are tough and getting a second estimate is absolutely essential for many of us. When I decided to pursue a second estimate, AutoKnowHow presented me with a $75 charge for their estimate which was never previously discussed. However, what was most shocking was the way in which I was treated by the receptionist when I disputed the charge. First, I was rudely told that I couldn’t pick up my car without paying this fee and then I was screamed at and told to pick up my car and never return. When I went for my car, the receptionist would not check me out until I spoke to the mechanic about this charge, and she made me wait while an on-site attack dog viciously barked in my face. This intimidation method is not ethical or legal, and it is a terrible way to try to make money in a difficult economy. What is more, my second estimate was half the price.
