The electric coolant pump which acts to keep the engine at the proper running temperature may become blocked from debris from the cooling system. This would cause the pump to overheat, and possibly cause a fire.

The side head air bag may allow moisture to get inside of it, which could result in the internal components corroding. If this occurs, the inflator for the air bag could fracture without air bag deployment, and spray metal fragments at occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
