how do I tighten up my alternator belt

    Open the top of the alternator (pivot bolt is 14mm head I think). slacken the the lower alternator bolt (12 or 14mm head) the lower bolt has a long threaded bolt with a 10mm head going through it, loosen that bolt counter clockwise to allow the alternator to pivot rear ward on the lower alternator bracket allowing the belt to slacken. Replace the belt, tighten the adjusting bolt until correct belt tension is achieved, start and run the engine recheck belt tension readjust as required.
