I have 100,000 miles have not replaced timing belt is it time?

    Highly recommended to have that service performed immediately. If you throw a timing belt, you run a risk of doing serious engine damage.

    My mechanic keeps telling me I am tempting fate but my 2001 Lexus has 152000 miles and the original timing belt and water pump
