Question: Are trunk lock and glove box lock electronically related.

My glove box latch is broken and my trunk latch won't work, either by key FOB or latch near hood release. Since both are electronic, will the glove box not working effect the trunk latch. Thanks.

    no, they are not related. the glovebox is just a plain
    tumbler and is not tied into central locking

    I guess I didn't mention that my car is a convertable and that my glove box locks electronically when I lock the car so anyone who rips into the top still won't be able to get into the glove box. I was told that it's interconnected to my trunk and door locks but I just wanted to confirm if this is true.
