1990 Toyota Camry

Question: Are there any V6 Transmissions that will fit my 90 camry besides another camry?

I need a transmission for a 90 Camry V6 auto and I cannot find a good one. Is there any other vehicle I can get a donor from?

    I know the age of the car may not make it cost effective to get a re-manufactured transmission. The transmission will have to be a Camry V6 .When trying to locate or find second hand parts, the best way post a request to many wrecking yards at the same time is to Google the words "wrecking yard parts" or "used auto parts" if you want to be a little more specific enter the manufacturer of your vehicle example "Toyota used parts". May links appear that allow you to enter the details of your vehicle and the parts you are looking for. This request is then sent out to thousands of wrecking yards through out the country and they then send you an email or give you a call with the price and availability of the part. it is the wrecking yard that pays a small commission for the service.

    Thanks, I was afraid it would be that way. As you said given the age of the car it isn't worth putting a lot of money into it especially since it needs the rack and pinon steering boots replaced and the distributor "o rings"??? replaced also. It leaks oil through the distributor. It has been in the family since new and only has 165,000 on it. and runs like a scared rabbit. It just doesn't want to go into reverse when the fluid gets warmed up. Bad seals I think. Tranny has been rebuilt 5 times and it just keeps on messing up. Thats why I was hunting a different one to get a new case to see if that would help. Thanks for the reply. Ralph
